A beginning

we always welcome a new year with open arms n wish everyone a new n prosperous year ahead but y only limit it to beginning of the year only or to be precise only 1st Jan we rarely wish on 2nd, hardly on 3rd n only by mistake or by formality on 4th.Why we say that we will change in the new year? y we wait for the new year to make a resolution n stick to them? why is a fresh beginning dependent on a date? Why we wait for the clock to strike 12 on 31st dec? Why is 1st Jan given this privilege when every day is the first day of the coming year only because the calendar says 1st Jan-31Dec is the new year , y not 5th Mar-4th Mar or say 1Aug-31July?

i say today is the 1st day of my coming year which is from 4/1/2012-3/1/2013 just to make 3rd n 4 happy (they feel so left out..poor days) you also can choose your own special year not necessarily the one beginning with 1st jan it can begin from 31 Dec also. The best part of choosing your own new year is that you can start afresh anyday like i started my new year on 11th dec 2011 with a promise that each day of my coming year would be a memory to cherish but i ended up wasting my vacations though it was also a gud memory but not the kind i planned to have, so my new year began from 30 dec 2012 n since that day my everyday is different n better than the previous one.

So tell yourself you dont need to wait for 1st Jan to cleanup that cupboard you are avoiding for so long, or giving up smoking or even something as common as getting back to your exercise routine you planned but couldnt follow for more than 10days so pickup your calendar n tell yourself that hey tomorrow is a new day, a new year, a new beginning.  So choose a new year with the aim that in coming year we will put in all our efforts such that the "least happy day of the coming year is happier than the most happy day of the last year". So choose your new year, a new beginning that we all wait for .....
by the way......
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012....:)
